DavidAngels of Stone aren’t especially well known for being able to change their ways, but that’s precisely what Warren Glamour did. When he descended to the Corporeal Realm in the early 1900s Ren was a runner for the coal miner’s union.

He and his colleagues were masters at making sure the union message was one step ahead of management, and that union strikers would get word of changing conditions before the police and National Guard did.

Over the years technology and complacency robbed him of his place. There are hardly any mass labor actions any more, and even when there are cell phones and CB radios are far more effective at passing the word than runners.

Only people who lack regular access to communications technology, people like prison inmates, have need of a word-of-mouth courier to act in solidarity with each other. So Warren grew up. Union running will always be a part of his history, but now he is a prison rights lawyer.

Even though he is not Wordbound, Ren is a very subject specific NPC. He’s not suitable for random encounters, but might be worth including if your games tend to center around prisons, courts, human politics, or police-violence protests.
