Saint Roch was active at the dawn of the 14th century, then twice more in the 15th. It is likely that he continued to resurface periodically, but he has always preferred to keep a low profile over accepting fame and accolades.
Although born to wealth and power, he gave it all to his uncle so he could pursue a life healing the poor and diseased. Even today he prefers to eschew the title Saint, though in truth several Saints feel the same. Continue reading
