Origins
Most of The Endless were created by Neil Gaiman for Vertigo’s Sandman comics.
The Endless in In Nomine
The Endless are not canonically a part of the In Nomine universe. Then again they were not part of the DC/Vertigo universe either until they were written in as always having been there.
Taken on their own logic, each is a powerful Elemental Spirit with power to rival a Celestial Superior. Taken as comic book characters, they probably fall somewhere betwen newly fledged demon and newly fledged angel in power.
