Ana Calypsis is an Angel of Revelation and a Deist. She believes that the existence of the almighty is self-evident through creation and that religion has only served to obscure that truth and hide the intervention of the fallen. She wanders through the world appreciating the works of Eli and the other founding Archangels with no role or mask to hide her own divine nature.

That said, like all Litherites, Ana is under strict orders to not tell anyone she is an angel. When asked outright, her preferred answer is, “that would be telling.”

Ana Calypsis is on a quest to see all the natural wonders of the world (even, or perhaps, especially the ones humanity does not yet know about). If you’re looking for an NPC who’s “just passing through,” you might consider Ana and her impressive collection of sun dresses.

Stolen… it was stolen – there can be no other explanation. Illegal votes, rampant corruption, locked out poll workers – it’s only natural that after four years the beast would try to protect itself but Malidole’ had not realized how far Nybbas lies had spread. Even faithful Soldiers of Heaven had begun to share the deceit, if only to save their own necks. Traitors, all of them – they deserve to die.

Feverishly the most high searches for someone with the truth, but with the false quarantine, everything was passing through The Media these days. That said, Malidole has a contact – a Lilim, unfortunately. Can’t be trusted… but she’s promised to show him how deep The Conspiracy goes. That’s fine enough, she can speak all she wants, Malidole still has his heavenly gift. If she lies, he’ll just show her the error of her ways with his heavenly resonance.

Sigil of Andrealphus - GoetiaThe case of Farrow Offord is something of an interesting one because it appears completely different depending on one’s point of view.

To his employer(s) and and fellow government workers, Farrow Offord appears to be a single, competent if constantly overwhelmed worker who goes by the username “Fr04.” He tends to work remotely and is pretty good at coming up with reasons why meeting in person or even via video will somehow result in worse outcomes than submitting digital tickets and awaiting his response. Sigil of Nibhaz - Provenance UnknownMr. Greg Gavant (Calabite of the Media) knows that the athletics department is the true life’s blood of a university. With this in mind, he has always put the needs of the athletic department first. If that means other students have their admissions review or course enrollment postponed in order to prioritize athletes, so be it.

In exchange, Mr. Gavant enjoys a certain degree of campus noteriety that gets him favored seats to most games, locker room access, after game invites, and a sampling of the best performance enhancing and recreational drugs passing through campus. Continue reading →

Sigil of Beleth - Goetia

Matt Caper has been a tax collector for a long time. A very long time. In fact, he’s been assessing, auditing, and collecting taxes for so long that he considers it a sign of his adaptability that his knowledge of tax codes is only 20 years out of date (thankfully, he is willing to refer to codes and manuals, but don’t expect him to be quick).

Although Mr. Caper is a Demon of Nightmares, he rarely needs to rely on Beleth‘s gifts. Financial anxiety is particularly effective at sending dreamers to the Marches of Nightmares all on their own. However, since the faerie tithe is paid direct to Beleth, Matt might just get supernatural if he spots one of those spirits evading their tax obligations.

A lot of people have had their first real brush with Social Services during the current crisis, others have been navigating this bureaucratic labyrinth for years. Either way, there’s a lot of esoteric knowledge that goes into navigating the system: especially once something goes wrong.

Ana Melech is an Eligibility Worker – that means she’s responsible for determining who does or does not meet program requirements. She is also frequently a bearer of bad news: generally the denial of benefits. She’ll usually say that this is because the the applicant didn’t turn in some piece of paperwork or other. Whether they did or not is immaterial so long as she can convince them (and her colleagues) that they did not. Continue reading →

Pavo Quintain is a freelance reporter who is trying to make sense of an increasingly illogical world. He is accompanied by his friends Varun and Amaya. Both are supportive, but Pavo knows they only tolerate each other for his sake. What he doesn’t know is that they are each soldiers on the opposite sides of the eternal war between Heaven and Hell. HIspidHispid is a Malakite of Animals who specializes in punishing overaggressive predators, including such apex predators as humans, demons, and ethereals. Her preferred vessel is a large porcupine, but a stocky hirsute human will do when circumstances demand it.

Although Hispid’s celestial form has the signature black wings of her Choir, the animalistic qualities of her previous Cherubic duties are still visible.

Hispid is a playable starting character! Continue reading →

by Masasumi Ryūkansaijin

Kamaitachi are considered to be weasel yokai native to the Japanese Alps – they are known for lacerating the skin of those caught out in the cold alpine air, while minimizing the flow of blood. They are so fast as to be invisible to the naked eye, and are considered masters of both the kama (Japanese sickle) and herbalism.

Kamaitachi were occasionally described genii loci or as gods, which place them at about the level of a starting Celestial.

Assuming you can provide a suitable explanation for why one would be outside of Japan, this version of the Kamaitachi is balanced to join a Celestial campaign as a player character. Continue reading →

10 Force, Haagenti, Habbalite, In Nomine, NPC, Playable Character

Sigil of Haagenti - GoetiaAbu Al’Murtad has a remarkably even temperament for one of the Habbalah. Slurs run right off his back, especially ones likening him to either an angel or a devil. After all, he is both, and he sees little reason to be upset by the truth.

No, Abu Al’Murtad reserves his punishments for the Almighty itself. It is for this reason that he names himself Apostate, though he makes it a point to follow all the tenants of Islam save for the love of god. Abu Al’Murtad believes that it was God’s will that the demon punish mankind, and this is precisely why he chooses not to. Instead the fallen angel heals them, restoring hunger where it had been lost to illness or abuse. Continue reading →
